Moses goes Hollywood

Moses reached the peak of Sinai, walked down with the 10 commandments and then carried 52 precious items and liturgical objects to LA’s Getty Center.
Ok, that might not be how the museum ended up with one of the most promoted exhibits in its history. But, between now and March 4, the Getty will be featuring centuries-old icons hailing from the monastery at the base of Mt. Sinai. Saint Catherines Monastery is where Moses is believed to have seen the burning bush.
Nothing was burning when I visited the desolate Egyptian region two years ago, but I look forward to observing the exhibit.
