Say “YIASOU” to the LA Greek Fest!

If you’ve never been to the LA Greek Fest on Pico/Normandie near the Byzantino Latino Quarter, you don’t know what you’re missing. The food is fanstastic, the OUZO and Greek beer is abundant and the dancing will get you kicking your heels in celebration. With over 20,000 visitors over the Sep. 5-7 weekend, the Greek Fest is one of the best around. Enjoy authentic Gyro sandwiches, famous Greek Honey donuts, souvlaki dinners and more. I’m so into it, that I’ll be pouring draft beers at the beer booth this year, so come by and say “YIASOU”!

Oh…and don’t be surprised if you see some celebs. Tom Hanks and his wife are honorary MC’s again this year and the Mayor loves to come out and enjoy the Greek tunes.

    I attended the LA Greek Fest this year and was very disappointed. The Ouzo was not chilled (they could just put the bottle on ice). Instead, if you wanted cold Ouzo they had to pour over ice which waters it down. There were signs everywhere for Greek coffee but none of the booths had any because “the machines are broken”. We had to come back to the Kalamari booth at least three times because they needed “a few more minutes to make it”. Yup, that IS so LA! Next time will go to the Long Beach Greek Fest. I heard it blows this one out of the water.
